This is our take on the Photoman alternator upgrade kit (original thread on ih8mud for the photoman kit here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/upgrading-stock-alternator-to-130-150-amp.206807/).

This kit enables the installation of a late model Toyota alternator of either 130amp or 150amp variant.

The factory alternator in our 80 Series is an anemic 80amp model, which quickly loses it's usefulness in a modern vehicle setup. Once you add a winch, ALL the lights, bumpn stereo, fridge, etc, that alternator is going to be struggling.

Enter this kit and one of these Toyota alternators:

27060-0F040 for the130 amp

27060-0F050 for the150 amp

Once installed, you will be able to easily charge your battery while running all the accessories your big heart desires, as well as quickly recover from deep drains like pulling your buddies 4Runna out from a snowbank or something.

We also decided to make an upgraded charge cable kit to compliment your new, more powerful, alternator. We feel this is necessary (and HIGHLY recommend installing it at the same time as upgrading the alternator), but have it listed separately as there are plenty of folks who have already upgraded their wiring in a lot of ways.
