The DeltaVS PROharness kits are pre-made, plug and play, wiring harnesses that take the guess work out of wiring your 80 Series. Built to last, the harnesses are made of high-quality, heavy gauge wire wrapped in continuous PETG anti-chafe and terminated with tin-dipped and sealed lugs to prevent corrosion or water penetration into the copper. This process makes them last longer, and keeps voltage drops to a minimum. All lighting harness terminations use Deutsch connectors for easy serviceability and watertight connections. Harnesses are purpose built and fit like a glove in an 80 Series. Every harness termination point is clearly labeled for easy installation with quality heat shrink labels that resist heat, oil, and water.
These following harness options are available:
12818-LC 91-97 Battery Ground Upgrade KIT: This kit includes heavy-duty, upsized cables to replace the two grounds wires on the stock 80 main battery. Ditch the old worn-out OEM lug with integrated wires that are often corroded, to new larger cables with M10 Lugs ready for termination onto MIL-SPEC terminals.
Installation: The long wire replaces the factory wire from the battery ground lug to the engine block. The short wire connects the battery ground to the fender well to provide a new body ground. Zipties are included to secure and organize the wires once installed.
12816-LC 91-97 Dual Battery Wiring KIT: This wiring kit includes all the wiring components for adding a second aux battery to an 80 Series Land Cruiser. The power sources are fused with 200 amp MRBF (Marine Rated Battery Fuse) blocks, and a new ground for the second battery is included. This kit is intended to be used with the DeltaVS 91-97 Dual Battery Bracket and Blue Sea ML-ACR (Magnetic Latch - Auto Charge Relay).
Installation: The s-shaped wire is pre-formed for optimal and chafe free routing from the Blue Sea ML-ACR “A” stud to the battery on the right side of the vehicle.
The double MRBF block is used on the AUX battery (+) terminal and the single MRBF block goes on the MAIN battery.
Side note: in 1991-92 the “MAIN” battery is on right side of vehicle and in 1993-97 the “MAIN” battery is on the left side of the vehicle. The other battery is the “AUX” battery. If you have a third battery in the passenger compartment somewhere, that is the “HOUSE” battery.
Positive wires are fused with the200-amp MRBF at each battery (+) terminal and are combined at the Blue Sea ML-ACR. On the double MRBF, an extra 100-amp fuse is provided for an additional power take off point for use with the DeltaVS Switchpro firewall mount system or any other medium sized, fused load. After routing and terminating the labeled wires, use the provided zip ties to secure the wires to the vehicle and engine.
12910 Dual Battery ML-ACR RemoteSwitch, Dual voltmeter, Dual Zone trigger harness KIT: This is a 3-in-1 harness that provides the following functions:
·Powers the ML-ACR remote switch to allow the dual batteries to be combined, auto connected, or disconnected at a flip of a switch from inside the cab
·Connect the main and aux batteries to a dual voltage monitor so battery charge state can be monitored from in the cab (compatible with a single dual display gauge or dual single display gauges)
·Provide an ignition tied trigger wire for activating a DeltaVS Blue Sea Dual Zone Fuse Panel Mount Plate PREBUILT (usually mounted inside a DeltaVS center console)
Ideally, you will be routing this harness to the area below the ashtray. The faceplate of a DeltaVS Shifter Console is an excellent termination point.
Detailed instructions guide installing the harness into the vehicle and routing the branch circuits to their intended locations/terminations. The harness also upgrades the ML-ACR wiring pigtail to a Deutsch connector to allow a watertight and serviceable connection under the hood.A DeltaVS center console, DeltaVS shifter console, DeltaVS Dual Battery ElectronicsMount Plate, and a Blue Sea ML-ACR with bracket are all required to use this harness to its full potential. The main battery power is connected to the “CIG” circuit found in the cab of every 80 Land Cruiser. This is the“luxury” circuit that powers the radio, power mirrors, seats and other circuits in the cab and does not have any effect on critical OEM circuits for driving or operating the vehicle if an electrical issue were to be encountered.
12817 LC 91-97 In-cab Power from MRCB: This wiring kit is for routing power through the firewall and into the cab, think of it as the main trunk line to your center console and QPM power distribution centers. The power source is intended to be pulled from the MRCB (Marine Rated Circuit Breaker) mounted to a DeltaVS Dual Battery Electronics Mount and 80-amp BUSS MRCB. You can also utilize this kit by directly mounting the main power wire to a fused battery termination. An upgraded ground wire is included and replaces the small ground strap between the rear of the cylinder head and fire wall. This kit is intended to complement the DeltaVS 91-97 Dual Battery KIT and/or the DeltaVS Blue Sea Dual Zone Fuse Panel Mount Plate PREBUILT.
Installation: the u-shape wire pulls power from the Blue Sea ML-ACR “A” stud on a dual battery configuration and provides the line power to the MRCB of the dual battery kit. Power is pulled from the ML-ACR “A” terminal to an 80-amp MRCB disconnect breaker. The breaker load side then runs an eleven-foot cable into the cab through the fire wall, under front right seat, to the center console area for a central power point in the middle of the vehicle. This kit is intended to complement the DeltaVS Blue Sea DualZone Fuse Panel Mount Plate PREBUILT. The power wire that runs into the cab terminates directly to the Blue Sea Dual Zone Fuse Block "B" stud, providing power to zone “B” and to the relay which can be ignition activated to power up zone "A".
12820 LC 91-97 Center Console Power to Rear QPM (Quarter Panel Mount): This wiring kit is a continuation of the 12817 LC 91-97 In-cab Power from MRCB KIT for the folks who have the Wits’ End QPM. The harness adds power from the center console to theQPM. This creates a great power take off point for rear compartment power needs like a fridge, USB chargers, and in-cab lights/accessories on a slide out system. Because the harness piggybacks off the power brought into the console, it cannot be used stand-alone without user modification/extension.
Installation: when using the 12817 LC91-97 In-cab Power from MRCB KIT and the DeltaVS Blue Sea Dual Zone Fuse Panel Mount Plate PREBUILT KIT, 12820 is a plug and play option. The zone “B” power in the center console is the power source for the QPM to use a second DeltaVS Blue SeaDual Zone Fuse Panel Mount Plate PREBUILT KIT in the rear of the vehicle. The relay on the QPM mounted pre-built fuse block uses one of the "A"zone circuits in the console to trigger the relay and provide 6 switched ignition circuits in the QPM area. This is a great feature if you want cell phone chargers, radios, cell boosters, etc to automatically turn off when the vehicle is turned off.
12913 Switchpro circuit extension to QPM-35A
12916 Switchpro circuit extension to QPM-Dual 20A
These two circuit extensions route power from a DeltaVS Switchpro Firewall Mount to the QPM area of the vehicle. The Switchpro has four 35 amp circuits and four 20 amp circuits. The DeltaVS extension kits are very large/oversized wires that extend the Switchpro circuits to the backend of the vehicle. Perfect for connecting back up lights, rock lights, air compressor, or other items at the rear of the vehicle to your Switchpro. Make sure to hook up the appropriate wire to the Switchpro (SP 1-4 are 20 amp and SP 5-8 are 35A. The harness wire gauge and qty are sized to make the long run and not have a voltage drop to the rear of the vehicle. Ring terminals and labels are applied at both ends and allow for easy install to the screw terminals on the DeltaVS Switchpro mount and DeltaVS Rear QPM Termination Block kit.
12918 Switch Pro to QPM Circuit Extension Terminal Block KIT: This kit includes two terminal blocks and ground wires to create hook-up point for rear circuits. The marine grade buss bar provides a solid chassis ground location, and the 8-circuit terminal block can provide positive hook-up points for ring terminal connections. Two jumpers are included for combining terminals/circuits together. This is handy if you want two or more circuits to be active at the same time via the Switchpro. For example, multiple rock lights activated with a single switch.
Installation: The terminal blocks will need to mount to something in the rear quarter panel and the ground wire will need to be attached to one of the M6 or M8 hole/bolts found behind the rear quarter panel plastic. Once mounted, the provided ring terminals can be crimped to whatever circuits you want to wire in; air-compressors, lights, charge ports, fridge, etc.
The DeltaVS 80 Series PROharness Kits are set up for plug and play installation with the DeltaVS Switchpro firewall mount. If you do not have one and want to use these harnesses, modification will be required to power them with your own sourced relays. All DeltaVS PROharness kits are equipped with Deutsch connectors for all light hook-ups. This is a much higher quality connector than the AMP style found on many lights. If your light came with those then the ends will need to be cut off, stripped, crimped, and terminated with the parts provided in the kit. MIL-SPEC crimpers are recommended for this. DeltaVS does this when lights and harness are ordered at the same time. With Deutsch connectors terminated at the lights, simply route and secure the wires to the DeltaVS Switchpro Firewall Mount with provided ring terminals. These harnesses are truly plug and play, providing years of worry-free reliability.
12895 LC 91-97 Front Bumper Driving and Rock Light harness: This combo harness is set up to drop in and power the driving and rock light options of a DeltaVS Front bumper. If you only need the driving lights, simply ziptie the “Rock Light” labeled connectors back (who knows, maybe you’ll upgrade someday). The harness comes with Deutsch size 16 pins and connector for adding to your lights. If the lights and harness are purchased through DeltaVS at the same time, lights will come pre terminated and be ready to plug in and go. The provided zipties are used to organize and secure the harness to the bumper and vehicle.
12890 LC 91-97 Front Bumper ONX6 20” lightbar harness: This harness powers an ONX6 20” lightbar that is optional on the DeltaVSFront bumper. The harness comes with Deutsch size 12 pins and connector for adding to after-market lights. If a light bar and harness are purchased through DeltaVS at the same time, the light will come pre terminated and be ready to plug in. The provided zipties are used to organize and secure the harness to the bumper and vehicle.
12901 LC 91-97 Front Bumper Triple LP6/LP9 harness: This harness powers up to three Baja Designs LP6/LP9 lights which are optional on the DeltaVS Front bumper. The harness comes with Deutsch connectors and plugs directly into the 4-pin terminals LP6/LP9 on the back of the lights. The provided zipties are used to organize and secure the harness to the bumper and vehicle. If you are only using two lights, simply secure one of the connectors with a ziptie along the bumpers integrated wire chase.
12904 LC 91-97 Rear Bumper Rock and Reverse Light harness: This combo harness powers the integral reverse and rock lights options of the DeltaVS Rear bumper. If you only need the one of those options (rock or reverse lights), simply ziptie the circuit you’re not using to the bumper for future use. The harness comes with Deutsch size 6 pins and connectors for adding to after-market lights. If the lights and harness are purchased through DeltaVS at the same time, lights will come pre-terminated and ready to plug in. The provided zipties are used to organize and secure the harness to the bumper and vehicle.
Installation and service: The Rock/ReverseLight harness runs parallel to the OEM harness under the vehicle on the frontside of the tailgate. The three ring-terminals enter the vehicle through the right rear grommet the OEM harness utilizes. There is a piece of heat shrink on the loom to indicate where the harness is to be in relation to this grommet(center heat shrink in grommet). The three ring-terminals are sized to reach up to the rear quarter panel and are pre-terminated for hooking up to the DeltaVS rearQPM power terminals (the ones powered by the Switchpro circuit extension.)Alternatively, the “long version” has a super long harness that reaches all the way up to the front of the vehicle for termination at a Switchpro or other relay device you may choose to install.
On the other end of this harness you will find two plugs labeled for the right side of the vehicle and two plugs labeled for the left side. Secure the harness parallel to the OEM harness under the vehicle and loop the Deutsch end out for plugging in the back up lights or rock lights installed in the rear bumper. If you ever need to service or remove your DeltaVS bumper, simply unplug the Deutsch connectors from the bumper lights and leave the harness attached to the vehicle.
